Qtego and Robert helped a major Hospital Foundation raise money to stop childhood obesity. Robert help promote the Fund-A-Need as Qtego provided their mobile phone donation and silent auction services.

Food for Thought Auction

This year Food For Thought will be utilizing Qtego Auction Technology for the auction. This technology will allow you to bid on any of our fantastic auction items from your own cell phone. Rialzo is Meridian Health Services’ annual charity gala celebrating the harmony of “whole person” health. This year’s event, “Joy to the World & our Community,” benefits Meridian’s programs. The featured entertainment is Three Dog Night, famous for hits like “Joy to the World,” “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” and “Black and White.”

Meridian’s black tie charity gala includes an evening of spectacular entertainment, performances from our arts partners, dinner, dancing, and fundraising auctions all in support of Meridian’s programs.

Rialzo…Italian for “to elevate or rise above,” is symbolic to Meridian Health Services in this collaborative fundraising event to raise the importance of a healthy mind and community.

Chaired by Forrest & Charlotte Lucas, this event is a charity fund raiser benefiting Cancer Support Community Central Indiana.

Jon Lovitz, who is perhaps best known for his Saturday Night Live portrayal of Tommy Flanagan “The Pathological Liar,” Chris Kattan, who performed as “Mango” the male exotic dancer among other roles, and Tim Meadows, best known for his portrayal of “Leon Phelps, The Ladies Man,” which became a 2000 film, will appear.

Their performances are apropos because one of the Cancer Support Community’s most famous participants was Gilda Radner, an original cast member 
of SNL who used a Santa Monica, Calif. cancer support facility before her death from cancer in 1989.

Qtego Auction technology will be providing the silent auction bidding at this year’s event. The guest will be able to view their items on their smart phones and place bids and donate. Those guest who do not have a smart phone can simply text their bids.

Mobile phone bidding is a Qtego (Patent Pending) innovation that has transformed the silent auction into a 24×7 fundraiser that allows you to raise money before, during, and after your event. Event planners can now open their silent auctions before their event doors even open. When you move your traditional auction to advance event bidding you are allowing attendees and non attendees to bid from their mobile phones adding a new level of excitement to your event.

When you use Qtego’s advance bidding platform (TM) your guests can register for the auction by simply entering their name, phone number and credit card. Once the bidder has registered they can view the silent auction items, view the live items and start bidding. Many of the organizations we serve like to encourage advance bidding before the event has started with up to 35% of their revenue being generated prior to the doors to the event being opened!

Here’s an example of how it works:

1.Bidder registers for auction on the Qtego custom generated website.

2. Bidder views the list of silent and live auction items

3. Bidder bids by Qtego’s mobile smart site or sends text message of the item number and bid amount to Qtego.

4. Qtego immediately responds to bidder to confirm s/he is the high bidder.

5. If the bidder gets outbid, s/he receives a text message that s/he has been outbid, including the bid s/he must make to again be the highest bidder.

6. Bidder rebids with the amount to be the highest bidder again.

7. Bidder continues s/he bidding at the event

8. Bidder wins the item and receives a text message regarding purchase and retrieval of the item.

Jack recently attended an not-for profit event that supports military families. The guests at the event used Qtego’s auction technology. This wireless bidding system allows silent auction participants to bid on silent auctions by cellular or on land line phones. Even those who could not attend the event were able to bid on the items.

I recently worked with them for a small, but prestigious fundraiser, in Scottsdale. The Qtego crew arrived on site with outstanding equipment, a large and experience crew, and helped the charity meet its desired goal in an efficient, calculated way.

Annual Gala and Auction
Each year the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce honors its volunteers and their many accomplishments at our Annual Gala and Auction. The evening kicked off with a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by a delightful dinner. Later in the evening, we present awards for Ambassador of the Year, Community Service, Business Innovation, Military Advocate, Small Business, Volunteer of the Year and Diplomat of the Year
