Believe in Magic!

May 10th, 2012Posted by QtegoAuction Events Giving

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville Florida creates magic in the lives of more than 1,100 families each year.  The magic may not always be obvious to the casual observer, but to the families we serve the magic is around every corner.  It is in the relief they experience when they are greeted by a smiling volunteer after a long day of treatments, or in the look of understanding they can only get from a another parent of a sick child. The magic is in the way children with wheelchairs, little girls without hair and kids who don’t always feel like they fit in, feel magically at home when they come through these doors. Thanks to the support of donors, volunteers and attendees RMHC Jacksonville will continue to make magical memories for thousands of families.

Qtego would like to thank the Ronald McDonald House Charities for including us in their magical night May 5th. Qtego provided the silent auction technology and Fund-A-Need by cellular phone.

Qtego & Al Unser Jr!

November 17th, 2010Posted by QtegoAuction Events

Qtego arranged for Mr. & Mrs. Arthur to meet Indy 500 winner Al Unser Jr.  The Arthurs attended the recent Ronald McDonald House event at the Indiana Roof Ballroom and won the auction for the Bill Patterson painting “The Big Finish”, his rendition of the closest finish in the history of the Indianapolis 500, the .043 second win by Al Unser Jr over Scott Goodyear in 1992.  Scott Goodyear attended the event and signed the painting, but Al could not due to other obligations.  After the event, Al met with the Arthurs, signed the painting for them, and spent time reliving the historic finish that the painting was designed from.  Brad Benge of Qtego (in the orange shirt) is shown here thanking Al for taking the time to meet with the Arthurs and sign the painting of his historic win.

Ronald McDonald House-Taste of Tuscany

November 12th, 2010Posted by QtegoAuction Events Giving

On November 5th the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana held its Taste of Tuscany at the Indiana Roof Ballroom and powered the evening’s event with Qtego’s revolutionary mobile technology.

Patrons throughout the evening used their personal mobile phones interactively to place bids, make instant donations, and participate in their premier live auction. Gene Cox of Fox 59 emceed the evening and encouraged the audience in a “live Bidding war” and an “Instant Give” response which broadcasted donors’ names and updated giving totals on the venue’s big screens. Pam Anderson, Special Events Manager, had this to say about the Qtego experience: “How can we thank you for what you brought to our Tuscan table…you guys are the quintessential professionals that made our auction and Share A Night sing. Oh What A Night! Our best event yet without a doubt, exceeded our expectations. Everyone loved your cutting edge technology, your style, your orange shirts, your smiles – you lifted our spirits and brought out the dollars! What a blessing – I know we’ll never do an auction without you!” Additionally, Qtego provided a complete solution for Ronald MacDonald House’s patron registration and delivered a streamlined checkout and invoicing process “without any lines” that enhanced the overall evening experience for everyone. Congratulations Ronald MacDonald House of Indiana for producing an extraordinary event!
