The Cindy Weaver Scholarship Fund was first organized in the fall of 2004 shortly after her death on September 10 of that year.  The fund was established in order to honor her nearly 20 years as a high school Spanish teacher at Plainfield High School.  Cindy was also the department head for the foreign language department, and the sponsor for the National Honor Society.

The Cindy Weaver Scholarship Fund awards scholarships each year to students who plan to use their Spanish language skills to serve others in their profession.

During the scholarship’s June 2010 golf outing, The Cindy Weaver Scholarship Fund used Qtego’s Silent Auction to raise funds for the scholarship.  Auction item lists were given to the golfers and fastened to all the golf carts.  Bidding wars occurred when several participants decided they all wanted the same items.

The Qtego Silent Auction produced 10% of the funds raised for the Cindy Weaver Scholarship Fund!
